Bio
Sally Cahill is an artist inspired by the renaissance, ancient fairytales, Shakespeare, and the unique
perspective of Gothic artisans, the Elizabethan gaze and the medieval mind.
Sally's paintings and objects of art are often cracked and antiqued with special paints or varnishes
to capture the aged mystery of the Old Master paintings
that intrigue her.
DaVinci, Raphael, Gheeraerts, Titian. Holbein and Brugel are among the great artist that inspire her and
lend to the detail of her landsacapes, fairytale paintings and painted wallhangings.
Sally also makes a living as an actress in film,television, and on stage and her involvement in productions of
Shakespeare at The Stratford Festival and across the country has inspired several of her paintings.
She met her partner actor/musician David Young in a production of The Taming of the Shrew and together
they have a wonderful young son who also likes to paint.
